


Intermediate Pistol
Self defense is always a game of numbers. The more skills you possess and the more repetitions you make, the higher the odds of effectively defending yourself. Intermediate pistol takes the foundational skills learned in Basic Pistol and applies more techniques and theory to better prepare yourself in the instance of a hostile situation.
During this class, we will discuss and then practice:
Improving your draw stroke
Clearing stoppages
Finding and using cover and concealment to your advantage
Shooting while moving
Maximizing angles and non-dominant hand shooting
Engaging multiple targets and breaking contact
Time requirement for this class:
4 to 6 hours
Who may attend the class?
All U.S. citizens, age 18+, that can legally own/purchase/possess a firearm. NOTE: You MUST be 21 years of age to pursue your CCW permit for Minnesota and Wisconsin.
Any student of Victory Promotions who has completed the Basic Pistol training course.
Any veteran of the United States Armed Forces or retired police officer, please submit your credentials in advance to victoryproccw@gmail.com
What you must bring?
A semi-automatic pistol chambered at a minimum caliber of .380 Auto. Firearms must meet requirements and function properly. The instructor has the right to decommission a firearm at any time, for the remainder of the class.
A minimum of 200 rounds of ammunition for the handgun in a caliber of .380 Auto or higher.
Kydex style open-carry holster. It is recommended to have a minimum of one level of retention.
A minimum of two magazines. The easier you can access the spare magazine(s), the better.
Heavy-duty belt for holster, spare magazines, etc.
Eye and ear protection. Sunglasses or reading glasses are acceptable. Ear protection must be either the muff style headphone or foam plugs.
Hiking shoes or boots, we will be moving around so make sure to be nimble.
Clothing suitable for conditions. If it’s cold, dress in layers and we will shoot in the rain.
Optional equipment
Bug spray or sunscreen
Snacks and/or water
Kneepads
Small backpack or fanny pack
