


Advanced Pistol
The Advanced Pistol course is for the seasoned shooter wanting to seek training under higher stress situations to mimic a real life self defense scenario. Students must have already completed the Intermediate Pistol course as a pre-requisite.
In this class, we will train these skillsets:
Utilizing cover or concealment to engage or disengage from a threat
Movement while shooting
Close quarter fighting and fire from uncommon positions
Engaging multiple targets
One-handed and non-dominant hand shooting
Engaging targets in and around vehicles (may not be allowed based on the training facility)
Time requirement for this class:
6 to 8 hours
Who may attend the class?
All U.S. citizens, age 18+, that can legally own/purchase/possess a firearm. NOTE: You MUST be 21 years of age to pursue your CCW permit for Minnesota and Wisconsin.
Any student of Victory Promotions who has completed the Intermediate Pistol training course.
What you must bring?
A semi-automatic pistol chambered at a minimum caliber of 9mm. Firearms must meet requirements and function properly. The instructor has the right to decommission a firearm at any time, for the remainder of the class.
A minimum of 300 rounds of ammunition for the handgun in a caliber of 9mm or higher.
Kydex style open-carry holster. It is required to have a minimum of one level of retention.
A minimum of three magazines.
Heavy-duty belt for holster, spare magazines, etc. Spare magazines must be accessible via the duty belt.
First aid kit with tourniquet.
Eye and ear protection. Sunglasses or reading glasses are acceptable. Ear protection must be either the muff style headphone or plastic molded earbud.
Hiking shoes or boots, we will be moving around so make sure to be nimble.
Clothing suitable for conditions. If it’s cold, dress in layers and we will shoot in the rain. Must have durable pant that is tear resistant.
Food and water, you will work up a sweat and hunger.
